The DIFC Commissioner of Data Protection is the DIFC's data protection regulator. Regulation 10 and the DPL give the Commissioner supervisory authority over how DIFC entities process personal data, AI-driven decisions included.
In practice, that authority shows up the same way across every duty on this site: the Commissioner can inspect an entity's AI System Register, review High-Risk Processing classifications, request the audit trail behind a decision, and receive the notifications the DPL requires, such as a changed-processing notice under Regulation 3.2.1(c). A gap the Commissioner finds at inspection is a compliance finding, not a courtesy note.
Certification may only be issued by an Accredited Certification Body or by the Commissioner, if the Commissioner establishes a certification scheme. Producing evidence for the Commissioner is the standard this site is built to help you meet.
