To onboard, create your account, verify your email, then complete the onboarding wizard: name your organisation, set your residency region, and flow takes a few minutes. You can change every choice later except your residency region, which fixes where your workspace data is stored. The wizard asks for three things. First, your organisation name, which appears on reports and evidence exports, so use the legal or trading name your auditors will recognise. Second, your residency region, which controls the data-at-rest location for your workspace. Third, your subscription tier. The tier sets three limits: how many AI systems you can hold in your inventory, how many people you can add to your workspace, and which compliance modules are unlocked. It does not change the depth of any workspace can cover at once. If you are unsure which tier fits, count your AI systems first. An AI system here means one deployed or planned system with its own purpose and owner, not one model or one API call. A chatbot on your website is one system. A CV-screening tool in your HR department is another. Pick the lowest tier whose system limit covers that count. Starting low carries little risk because upgrades apply immediately: the moment you pay for a higher tier, the extra system slots, seats, and modules unlock without a migration or any downtime. Downgrades work differently. A downgrade is scheduled and applies at your next renewal, not immediately. This protects you from losing access to records mid-cycle. If your registered systems exceed the lower tier's limit at renewal, you will be asked to archive the excess before the downgrade completes. Archived records are retained, not deleted, so your audit history stays intact. Two practical points about the wizard itself. You must verify your email before the wizard opens, because the address you verify becomes the Owner identity for the workspace and the Owner controls plan changes. And the wizard is resumable: if you close the browser part way through, signing in again returns you to the step you left. After the wizard finishes you land in an empty workspace. The recommended first action is to add your first AI system to the inventory, because almost everything else in the product (module runs, evidence, obligation tracking) hangs off a system record. A workspace with no systems has nothing to assess. A note on why the tier question is asked up front rather than after a trial period. The platform builds a per-system audit trail from the moment a system is added. Fixing the tier first means every action you take, from day one, is recorded against a known plan and a known set of entitlements. That makes your own audit history cleaner when you later show a regulator or a certification body how your compliance programme developed. You can review or change your tier at any time from Billing, which is visible to the workspace Owner. The onboarding choice is a starting point, not a commitment.

Audit-ready, not certification. This guide helps you produce evidence for assessment. Certification may only be issued by an Accredited Certification Body or by the Commissioner, if the Commissioner establishes a certification scheme. Confirm your specific obligations with counsel.
